But how do you know if a weight loss injection is the right decision for you?Â
The first thing you need to know is that these weight loss injections need to be approached not as a magic potion or a quick fix, but as just one of the tools in your tool box. We’ve seen through research that patients that take the âquick fixâ approach lose significant lean muscle mass and quickly regain the weight when going off the drug.
So let’s first talk about who would be a good candidate for this approach vs a traditional fat loss approach?
I’ve recommended a GLP-1 drug to several clients that fit this criteria:
- They have a significant amount of weight to lose
- They have the foundations built to prevent muscle loss
- They’ve been consistent with those foundational habits
- They have a doctor willing to start them out âlow and slowâ with the dosage
- They understand that this drug is just one tool in their journey and that the most important parts will be the lifestyle habits they’ve built along with a healthy dose of patience.
